Marathon - Awards

Trophies are presented to the overall first place male and female. The overall first place male and female finishers also receive free entry into next year's race. Overall second and third place male and female finishers receive medals. First place age group finishers receive medals. Second and third place age group finishers receive ribbons. Place will be based on net time.

Participants will compete in the following Male and Female Age Groups: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over.

All Marathon finishers receive a finisher's medal in the finishing chute.

Half Marathon - Awards

Trophies are presented to the overall first place male and female. The overall first place male and female finishers also receive free entry into next year's race. Overall second and third place male and female finishers receive medals. First place age group finishers receive medals. Second and third place age group finishers receive ribbons. Awards & Prize Money Guidelines

  • Runners must be officially registered for an event in order to qualify for any awards or prize money.
  • Place for prize money and course records are based on gun time not chip time.
  • Only athletes 40 years of age or older are eligible for Masters division prize money.
  • Only residents of Whatcom County for the full year since last year's race are eligible for Whatcom County bonus prize money.

* There is no prize money for the 5K.

Marathon & Half Marathon - Post Race Sports Massage

Overall male and female winners of the marathon and half marathon will be treated to a post race massage immediately following their race compliments of Dr. Robert Curtis and Advanced Sports Chiropractic.

5K Awards

Medals are presented to the overall first place male and female. The overall first place male and female finishers also receive free entry into next year's race. Second and third place finishers receive ribbons. Place is based on net time.

Awards Presentation

Awards are presented day of the race. Refer to our Schedule of Events for specific times of Awards Presentation. If your finish place earns you an award and you are unable to stay until the time of presentation, please go to the Race Desk to collect your award. Have your bib or photo ID available for verification.

Awards Not Picked Up

Awards not picked up race day may be picked up at Klicks Running & Walking in downtown Bellingham. Awards will be available for pick-up at Klicks within 5-days after the race. Have your bib or photo ID available for verification.
