Prosthetic Outreach Foundation

100 Miles in 100 Days - I am Colleen Haggerty, a Bellingham amputee of 33 years. Last year I created a walking campaign – I walked 100 Miles in 100 Days for 100 Legs - a fundraiser for the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation. The Prosthetic Outreach Foundation’s mission is to improve the mobility and independence of physically disabled children and adults in developing countries. They have programs in Vietnam, Haiti, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh and Liberia.

Sophia's Cure, Inc.

Run For Taysen - We (Taysen's mom, and super-Auntie Tawnee) are running in the Bellingham Bay Marathon on September 25, 2011 for our Taysen Trevor Langstraat, who was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 2 in August 2006. We are running this marathon to raise awareness towards Spinal Muscular Atrophy and to fundraise for Dr. Kasper's Gene Therapy Program through Sophia's Cure Foundation.
