Parking

Marathon participants with a reserved seat on the marathon shuttle and Half Marathon & 5K participants should park downtown Bellingham. Marathon participants not using the shuttle and are being dropped off at the marathon start should park near the Wex'liem Community Building.

Downtown Bellingham Parking

There is ample free lot, structure and street parking available throughout downtown Bellingham on race day. City of Bellingham Parking Lots and Structures listed here and all metered parking is free and open evenings and weekends. If you park downtown, please take special care not to park on sections of roads being used for the marathon, half marathon and 5K courses. Please note that the 1100 block of Railroad Ave by the start/finish area between E Maple St and E Chestnut St is completely closed to motor vehicle travel and parking on race day.

NOTE: Read signs when parking in any lot. While the City of Bellingham does not charge for parking on weekends, including lots managed by the City or at metered spaces, there are private lots that do require payment. Always double check the sign for the lot in which you park.

Marathon Start Parking @ Lummi Nation School & Lummi Marine Park

There is ample free parking near the marathon start line on Gooseberry Point for those dropping off an athlete or wanting to watch the race start. Parking flaggers will direct you from the intersection of Lummi View Dr and Blackhawk Way.

RUNNERS: DO NOT PARK AT MARATHON START. NO RETURN TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED FROM THE FINISH LINE. IF YOU ARE NOT BEING DROPPED OFF, THEN RESERVE A SEAT ON SHUTTLE TO THE MARATHON START. THE SHUTTLE LEAVES FROM THE FINISH LINE AT DEPOT MARKET SQUARE. SEE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR SHUTTLE SCHEDULE.
