Pre-Race Injury Assessments and Treatment & Sports Performance Tune Ups

Advanced Sports ChiropracticDr. Bob Curtis with Advanced Sports Chiropractic will be offering Running Injury Assessments and Treatments, and/or Sports Performance Tune Ups to Bellingham Bay Marathon participants at his office prior to the Expo and Packet Pick-up on Monday through Friday, September 24-28, 2011. You will need proof of your BBM registration status, e.g., email confirmation, to receive a $20 exam. Dr. Curtis offers a complete history, examination and treatments, including: Active Release Technique (ART), the Gold Standard in treating soft tissue injuries (www.activerelease.com/what_patients.asp), The Graston Technique, functional rehabilitative exercises and running modifications as necessary. Day before the Race Sports Massage @ Expo

Pre-race sports massageDuring the Expo and Packet Pick-up from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Best Western Lakeway Inn host hotel, Dr. Bob Curtis and Advanced Sports Chiropractic (ASC) will have a team of massage therapists offering massage treatments for $15 per 15 minute treatment up to 30 minutes. Dr. Curtis will also perform Injury Assessments for a $20 Exam and provide chiropractic treatments. Chiropractic adjustments will cost $30 for race participants. Specific soft tissue treatments will cost $15 per 15 minute treatment up to 30 minutes. Appointments and payments are handled directly through ASC. Post Race Massage and Sports Injury Treatment @ Finish Line

Post Race Sports MassageDr. Curtis and Advanced Sports Chiropractic will have a team of massage therapists at the finish of your race for post race massage. This will help reduce race-related soreness, pain, injury and improve blood flow and recovery. You must pre-register during online registration and will receive a wrist/ankle band that allows for this massage. You can purchase 15 minute sports massage for $15.
